Timothy Blanc

Eli Lilly and Company

Tim is currently a Principal Scientist of Technical Services / Manufacturing Sciences - Global Mab Network at Eli Lilly & Co. His primary role is supporting process changes by establishing the relationship between process parameters and critical quality attributes of therapeutic monoclonal antibodies.

Prior to joining ImClone in 2008 Tim was a Principal Scientist at Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research and Development. There he focused on developing immuno-affinity capillary electrophoresis as a biomarker platform as well as a technology to evaluate the impact of protein microheterogeneity on pharmacokinetics.

Capillary electrophoresis has been the one constant in Tim’s 30+ years in the biopharmaceutical industry. Tim was involved in the development of the first commercial capillary electrophoresis instrument and has since worked continuously on applications of capillary electrophoresis in biopharmaceutical analysis. He seeks to incorporate the advantages that microfluidics and microchip electrophoresis afford to methods that enable accelerated and more cost-effective biopharmaceutical development.

The one thing he loves more than CE is the CE Pharm Conference and the community that has grown out CE Pharm.
