Polly Mak

Polly has more than 20 years of pharmaceutical industry experience with a strong technical and quality background. Polly started her career at Bayer in Emeryville, California before joining Genentech in 2004, where she developed, validated and implemented numerous purification processes into GMP environment. In addition to developing robust purification processes, Polly also evaluated novel resins, different separation and filtration technologies to ensure successful launch and continued commercial supply. Polly joined the Quality Organization in 2014 and focused on end-to-end quality oversight for launch programs. She collaborated in phase-appropriate control strategy and tools for supporting compliance, speed, and right first-time strategies. Polly is an innovative thinker with an open mindset and a strong believer in agile and lean concepts with emphasis on building strong quality, eliminating wastes, and creating/sharing knowledge.
