Dr. Russell is a Biologist/Evaluator with the Centre for the Evaluation of Radiopharmaceuticals and Biologics (CERB) in the Biologics and Genetic Therapies Directorate (BGTD) at Health Canada. She holds a PhD in Protein Biochemistry from the University of Guelph. Her PhD research explored the structural and functional characterization of the trapped states of the P-glycoprotein multidrug transporter. After several years teaching Biochemistry at the University of Guelph, Paula joined BGTD in 2017 where she has been involved in the evaluation of the CMC information for many different types of biotherapeutic products.
