Mark Pellett

Mark is a registered UK Pharmacist and was awarded his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences at University of Wales College of Cardiff and then completed his post-doctoral studies at both Cardiff and the University of Queensland, Australia. He also has an MSc in Information Technology from Loughborough University, UK, and having started his industrial career in product development for Wyeth and generating CMC data for new licence applications, he moved into CMC Regulatory Affairs. Over the last 25 years he has worked for a number of organisations including Wyeth, Pfizer, GSK, Shire Pharmaceuticals, and Biogen, and has worked across small molecules, biologicals and vaccines supporting pre-Phase 1 CMC strategies through to post-approval life cycle management. Mark is currently Director, CMC Regulatory Affairs joining AstraZeneca in 2020, and is a regional lead for Vaxzevria, AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine.
