Looking back on over 10 years of experience in the field of virus and cellular diagnostics using electron microscopy, Ashley Stephen Layland is currently the project manager at neotem Bioanalytics. Graduating as a research assistant in 2011, Ashley began his career in cell culture technology at Xell AG (now part of Sartorius) where he acquired eight years of experience in upstream processing and cultivation. Shortly after, from 2012, Ashley then gained further in-depth experience in quality assurance, virology and electron microscopy from Charles River Laboratories Germany and the Centre for Ultrastructural Diagnostics (now neotem), where he conducts virus and cellular diagnostics using electron microscopy for academia and the biopharmaceutical industry.
