Cédric Mesmin obtained Master Degrees in Biological Engineering and Genetic and Cellular Physiology at the University of Clermont-Ferrand in 2008. He obtained his PhD in analytical chemistry while working at the French Atomic Agency (C.E.A.) in Saclay, where his research focused on the application of MS-based methods for the qualitative and quantitative characterization of peptides and proteins in biological samples. He then spent nearly four years as a post-doctoral researcher in the Luxembourg Clinical Proteomics (L.C.P.) lab, where he contributed to the development and application of innovative mass spectrometry strategies for the investigation of protein biomarkers and personalized medicine. After joining Merck, Cédric built up a mass spectrometry laboratory where his team develops MS-based analytical methods that streamline the development and manufacture of biopharmaceuticals. He is now Head of Innovation within Bioreliance at Martillac.
