Yelena Lyubarskaya is currently a Head of Analytical Science and Technology department at Sanofi, Framingham MA, USA, focusing on commercial manufacturing support and next generation process development for biologics. For the most of her career, Dr. Lyubarskaya worked in biotechnology and biopharmaceutical industry with the longest span of over 14 years at Biogen, Cambridge, MA, where she focused on process and analytical development for biologics and small molecule pharmaceuticals. Yelena contributed to the development of biosimilars and headed the in-vivo Critical Quality Attribute program for the company; she also provided crossfunctional leadership in CMC as well as in technology innovation space. Earlier in her career, Yelena applied her expertise in separation science and mass spectrometry in a drug-discovery startup; she also worked as an application mass spec scientist at AB Sciex. Yelena received her Ph.D. in Bioanalytical Chemistry from Northeastern University, Barnett Institute, where she studied DNA and protein separations and protein-protein interactions by capillary electrophoresis, chromatography and mass spectrometry. Prior to that, she studied polymer technology at Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology, Moscow, Russia.
