Frances Namuswe

Dr. Namuswe is an acting Product Quality Team Leader in CDER’s Office of Biotechnology Products (OBP) since 2017. From 2013 – 2017, she was a Product Quality reviewer in OBP. Prior to joining OBP, Dr. Namuswe conducted postdoctoral research at NIH from 2009 – 2012, studying protein-protein and protein-DNA interactions involving zinc finger proteins. She holds a B.A. in Chemistry from Grinnell College and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Johns Hopkins University, where she used small molecules and synthetic peptide models to understand the active sites and reaction mechanisms of different metalloenzymes.
