Marcella Yu

Marcella obtained both her B.S. and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at UCLA. After completing her studies, she joined Genentech as a postdoctoral fellow in the process development team, focusing her work in antibody glycosylation. She subsequently joined the late stage cell culture development group at Genzyme/Sanofi in the Boston area for 6.5 years. After that, she moved back to the west coast and joined Boehringer Ingelheim where she has worked for almost 4 years. She is now the director of the Cell Culture department in the Process Science organization, responsible for process development and tech transfer of various internal and client projects.
