Jayda Siggers

Dr Jayda Siggers is a Senior Biologist/Evaluator in the Biotherapeutics Quality Divisions (BQD) of the Centre for Blood, Blood Products and Biotherapeutics (CBBB), in the Biologics and Radiopharmaceutical Drugs Directorate (BRDD) at Health Canada. Jayda joined Health Canada in 2015 where she leads the quality review of pre and post market drug submissions for biologic therapies. She holds a Master of Science in toxicology from the University of Saskatchewan, a PhD in immunology from the University of Copenhagen and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in the department of Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Immunology at the University of Ottawa. Jayda regularly contributes to the field of biologics and regulatory standards. She represented Health Canada on the WHO drafting group for guidelines on monoclonal antibodies and related products and developed a training module for PAHO on the evaluation of therapeutic antibodies. Jayda co-chairs a PDA standard on analytical method transfer and comparability for biologics and leads an internal working group for the implementation ICH Q2(R2) / Q14. She participated in drafting of the new agile food and drug regulations and is currently revising the guidance on biosimilars. In her spare time, you will find Jayda chasing her family down mountains and up hills on one of her bikes.
