Feng Yang

Feng is currently the Principal Scientist and MS Core group leader at Protein Analytical Chemistry department at Genentech.

She obtained her PhD and postdoctoral training in two prominent biological mass spectrometry and proteomics labs, led by Prof. Donald F. Hunt at University of Virginia and Dr. Richard D. Smith at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), respectively. Prior to joining Genentech in 2013, Feng was a senior scientist at PNNL, as the PI, co-PI, project manager or technical lead for projects funded by PNNL & external agencies.

Feng has in-depth knowledge in CMC for early and late stage technical development of biotherapeutics and technical expertise in CMC mass spectrometry and related methods for proteomics and antibody characterization (LC-MS, CE-MS, etc.), being author of 59 peer-reviewed publications and 1 book chapter, corresponding author of PNAS and Anal. Chem. publications and the assistant editor for mAbs journal. I received the US HUPO Career Development Award in Technologies, San Francisco, CA, March 2012.
