Yogesh Waghmare

Yogesh Waghmare, joined bluebird bio as the head of downstream vector process development group. He is currently CMC lead for eli-cel program responsible for leading cross functional CMC activities in support of the commercial filing(s). Prior to joining Bluebird bio, Yogesh was part of Sanofi-Genzyme where he played various roles in manufacturing science, late stage process development and continuous chromatography development. His areas of expertise include CMC strategy and technical leadership, process development, process characterization and process modeling. Yogesh has more than a decade of experience in the biotech industry and holds Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana State University.
