Saravanamoorthy Rajendran

Saravana (Moorthy) Rajendran is a Drug Product Technical Steward in Cell Therapy-Global Manufacturing Sciences and Technology team at BMS. Moorthy is responsible for defining the manufacturing strategy for cell therapy programs, coordinating technical transfers, process validation, commercial licensure and LCM activities. Prior to this role, he led the drug substance Manufacturing Sciences and Technology team within the Biologics organization and played a key role in the commercial process development, validation, global licensure applications and approval for Celgene’s first biologic (luspatercept).

Moorthy has also worked in multiple technical roles within the bioprocess development organizations at Alexion, Medimmune and Curagen; supporting biologics process development, technology transfer, process validation, commercialization and licensure of multiple monoclonal antibodies and protein therapeutics. He has a M.S in Biomedical Engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University and a B.Tech. in Industrial Biotechnology from Anna University, Chennai, India.
