Saran Baskaran leads combination product development teams for protein therapeutics and cell therapies that require parenteral delivery devices. He currently works at AstraZeneca where he also established and leads a group that optimizes device development through the use of computational modeling. Prior to joining AstraZeneca, he was an R&D engineer at Ondine Biomedical where he developed a variety of devices in the dental and medical space including the first otolaryngology catheters used for photodynamic therapy. Saran earned his B.S. from Cornell University in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering and his Master’s in Biomedical Engineering from Cornell University.
