Michael Poltash

Janssen R&D, LLC

Michael graduated from Texas A&M University at the beginning of 2019 under the advisement of Professor Dave Russell. His work revolved around the development of an ion mobility-Orbitrap platform that was used for the biophysical analysis of large proteins and protein complexes. He then spent one year as a post-doc at Thermo Fisher Scientific as an R&D scientist in the mass spectrometry division in San Jose, CA. There, Michael was part of the ion sources group working to develop new hardware for mass spectrometers. In March of this year, he joined the team at Janssen Pharmaceuticals in the Cell Line Development group under Dr. Andrew Mahan, where he has been working on analyzing therapeutics by mass spectrometry and developing new assays for the continued development of their analytical portfolio.
