Leila Josefsson earned all her degrees from KTH Royal institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden; B. Sc., in 2012, M.Sc., in 2014, Lic.Eng., in 2018, and Ph.D. in Chemistry, in 2019. In her thesis work she showed that mass spectrometry could identify the building blocks that are included in the formation of protein nanofibril formed soybean and potato proteins, and how capillary electrophoresis, with the use of different detectors, could be used for the characterization of micro-sized contrast agents.
After her Ph.D. Leila continued as a postdoctoral fellow in the group of Analytical Chemistry at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. She was employed within the EU-project iConsensus, responsible for developing CE and microchip electrophoretic analysis of metabolites like amino acids, sugars, and lipids. Today, Leila is working at Kantisto BV implemeting those methods.
