Hans-Rainer Völger

Hans obtained his Ph.D. in theoretical physics from the University of Darmstadt, Germany.
He joined Roche in 2001 as a member of the computer-aided drug design group in Munich.
Following a switch to protein research in 2007 he developed in-silico solutions for advanced
and automated data evaluation of mass spectrometry data sets and developed prediction tools
for chemical degradation and post-translational enzymatic modification of proteins.
Besides establishing machine-learning algorithms for high-throughput data evaluation, he is
currently working on digitalization and data science projects in Roche's pharma research and
early development large molecule research unit (pRED LMR) at the Roche Innovation Center Munich.
