Andrei Hutanu attended the Technical University of Munich from 2012-2018 where he got his degree in Biochemistry and developed an unfortunate addiction for dark chocolate. In 2018 he started his PhD at the F. Hoffmann - La Roche Ltd and University of Basel with research focus on enhancing capillary electrophoresis (CE) methods for biopharmaceuticals. During his PhD Andrei has established CE methods for new modalities like mAb co-formulations and bispecific mAbs. Since 2019 he is working on method development for cell and gene therapy products with a special focus on recombinant adeno associated viruses. In his free time, Andrei enjoys exploring the Swiss Alps and tinkering with his young-timer convertible.
