Rosendo Villafuerte-Vega

University of Michigan

Rosendo earned his BS in Chemistry from Immaculata University in 2016. After graduating, he worked as a staff scientist and developed MS-based workflows for the assessment of a CNS-active drug product’s relative abuse-deterrence and -potential. Currently, he is a third-year doctoral candidate in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Michigan under the guidance of Professor Brandon T. Ruotolo. His research interests are in biotherapeutic higher order structure characterization utilizing ion mobility-mass spectrometry (IM-MS) and collision induced unfolding (CIU) approaches, as well as the development of these methodologies as high-throughput assays for therapeutic candidate selection.
