Yongsheng Xiao

Dr. Yongsheng Xiao joined WuXi Biologics in 2022 and currently serves as the head of the Analytical Science Team in the Late-stage Process Development Department. Before joining WuXi Biologics, Dr. Xiao held positions at Biogen, Shire (Takeda), and Sigma-Aldrich in the United States. Dr. Xiao has more than ten years of experience in drug discovery, analytical development, quality control, and CMC development for a range of protein therapeutics, including antibodies, fusion proteins, and other modalities. His work in biologics characterization and analytics has contributed to over ten successful IND, BLA, and PAS approvals. Dr. Xiao earned a BS in chemistry from Beijing Normal University and received his Ph.D. training in mass spectrometry and proteomics from the University of California, Riverside. He has authored more than twenty research publications in peer-reviewed journals, such as Nature Communications, Analytical Chemistry, and Molecular & Cellular Proteomics, focused on mass spectrometry, protein and biopharmaceutical analysis.
