Thomas Powers

Thomas Powers is a Senior Principal Scientist at Pfizer, working in Analytical Research and Development at the Chesterfield, MO location. Thomas completed his Ph.D. from the Medical University of South Carolina prior to starting at Pfizer in 2015. At Pfizer, Thomas has had several roles, initially working in the core mass spectrometry group. During that time, he gained experience working with numerous modalities including mAbs, recombinant proteins, ADCs, vaccines, and gene therapy. More recently, he has taken over a group leader role within ARD in a line focused largely on separation sciences and overseeing method development and readiness for product support. In addition to supporting several programs, Thomas is involved in the development of broader analytical strategies within Pfizer, focused on analytical comparability, multi-attribute method automation, and software utilization. Thomas additionally has led a late-stage gene therapy program as the analytical lead and supported regulatory authoring.
