Piotr Kaczmarek

Dr. Piotr Kaczmarek is an Associate Director, Analytical Sciences at BioFactura, Inc. (Frederick, MD), where he leads the Analytical Development team supporting analytical testing for process development, manufacturing, characterization, and comparability studies for BioFactura’s biosimilar and novel biotherapeutic drugs programs. Before joining BioFactura, Dr. Kaczmarek was a Principal Scientist at a contract research organization, where he focused on the development and execution of mass spectrometry-based assays for characterization of monoclonal antibodies and therapeutic proteins and acted as a Subject Matter Expert in analytical testing/product characterization. Dr Kaczmarek earned Master of Science and Doctorate degrees in chemistry at the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Wroclaw, Poland. He completed his postdoctoral training at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA and the National Cancer Institute in Frederick, MD.
