Ping Hu

Dr. Ping Hu is a Senior Director in Analytical Development at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine. Since joining Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) in 2013, Dr. Hu has played a pivotal role in the worldwide approvals of many biologics, including DARZALEX®, DARZALEX FASPRO®, TREMFYA®, RYBREVANT®, RYBREVANT® SubC, TECVAYLI®, TALVEY®, and IMAAVY®. Dr. Hu leads the Analytical Development Characterization Group, a team dedicated to advancing mass spectrometry and higher order structure methodologies to support product characterization, process development, regulatory submissions, multi-attribute monitoring (MAM) development and QC transfer. Her group is also responsible for the comparability assessment, structure/function characterization, Critical Quality Attribute (CQA) identification, and manufacturing investigations of Johnson & Johnson biological entities. Dr. Hu received her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Northeastern University under Prof. Barry Karger in 2001 and has over 24 yrs of industrial experience working on protein characterization and biopharmaceutical development at Novartis, GlaxoSmithKline, and Johnson & Johnson.
