Pilar Hernández

María del Pilar Hernández Svendblad is a Biologist specializing in Biotechnology, with over 12 years of solid experience in sanitary regulation and clinical research. Her profile combines a scientific background with extensive postgraduate technical training, holding Master’s degrees in Clinical Trials and Pharmaceutical Studies, Research Methodology, Clinical Genetics, as well as an MBA in Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Business Management. Throughout her career within the regulatory system, she has led the creation and implementation of strategic units, serving as Head of the Clinical Trials Unit. In this role, she directed the technical evaluation of research projects, oversight of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) compliance, and the development of national regulations. She currently serves as Head of the Registry Intandancy Operations Office at the Sanitary Regulation Superintendency (SRS) and as an institutional representative to international forums such as the ICH and the IPRP, driving regulatory harmonization, digital transformation, and the strengthening of health surveillance.
