Nelio De Aquino

Nelio Cezar de Aquino currently serves as the General Manager of Medicines at the National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) in Brazil. His professional journey at ANVISA commenced in 2007, holding the role of Good Manufacturing Practices Inspector for pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Over the years, he has assumed various managerial positions within the organization, including (1) General Manager of Information Technology, (2) General Manager of Ports, Airports, Borders, Customs Warehouses, (3) General Manager of GMP Inspection, (4) Food Registration Manager, and (5) Public Laboratories Manager. Nelio graduated from the University of São Paulo (FCFRP-USP) with a degree in Pharmacy and Biochemistry, and he earned his master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the same institution. Additionally, he holds specializations in Health Surveillance from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation and in Micropolitics of Health Management and Work from the Federal Fluminense University.
