Milica Grozdanovic

Milica Grozdanovic is an Associate Principal Scientist at Merck in analytical development with expertise in designing and implementing potency and ELISA‑based bioassays for vaccine programs. She earned her Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the University of Belgrade, Serbia and continued her postdoctoral research at the University of Illinois, where she developed and optimized antibody- binding assays for over 10 different biomarkers of mucosal inflammation in support of Phase I clinical trials and researched the inflammatory signaling cascade in Eosinophils. Milica joined Merck in 2020, and since moving into industry has taken on progressive analytical leadership roles. She currently serves as the potency portfolio lead for multiple vaccine programs, driving a unified strategy to enable phase appropriate assay readiness and successful transfer to external and manufacturing partners. During her research career Milica has published over 25 research articles and book chapters in peer-reviewed scientific journals and received multiple awards and research grants.
