Mike Hare

Mike Hare received a Ph.D. in physical organic chemistry from The University of Minnesota in 1998 for studies of the gas phase reactions of organic anions using a high-pressure flow-type reactor, FTMS mass spectrometry, and computation. He has worked in the mass spectrometry service lab at both Minnesota and Oregon State, with experience ranging from small molecule mass spectrometry to proteomics. At eā€‘MSion since April 2019, Mike is developing applications for the ExD cell. He has used its unique capabilities for example to map disulfide bonds, confirm the sequence of monoclonal antibodies, and demonstrate the utility of electron capture in analysis of post-translational modifications.
