Miguel Saggu

Miguel Saggu is working as a Staff Scientist in Pharmaceutical Development at Genentech with a focus on applying spectroscopic and imaging techniques to characterize particles and analyze materials. He has over 10 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. He is also a member of several industry consortia including the IQ Biologics subvisible particle working group that has published the paper “Evaluating Clinical Safety and Analytical Impact of Subvisible Silicone Oil Particles in Biopharmaceutical Products”. Before joining Genentech, he obtained his Ph.D. in physical chemistry in 2009 at Technical University of Berlin. He then worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in biophysics at Stanford University until 2014.
