Leslie Nash

Leslie is a quality reviewer at Health Canada in the Gene Therapies Division of the Biologic and Radiopharmaceutical Drugs Directorate. With 10 years of post-secondary education, followed by a post-doctorate at Harvard, her education is as diverse as the products she reviews. As a Canadian Graduate Scholar, she completed her PhD at the University of Ottawa, examining adenovirus and exosome-based therapeutics for the treatment of spinal muscular atrophy, while also completing a short-term EMBO fellowship at the University of Oxford. She completed her post-doctorate at Harvard University as a Healey Fellow, under the supervision of MacArthur ‘Genius Grant’ recipient Kevin Eggan, developing animal models, identifying biomarkers, and examining genes of interest in ALS. Leslie has experience reviewing a variety of gene therapy-based submissions including CAR-T therapies, TCR products, viral vectors such as AAV, oncolytics, CRISPR, non-viral gene delivery systems such as nanoparticles, and more.
