Lauren Carter

Lauren grew up in Texas but left the heat behind for rainy Seattle and the University of Washington (UW). After accumulating a few degrees and >15 years experience in Seattle biotech with a focus on downstream process development, tech transfer, and analytical method development, Lauren seized the opportunity to establish the Core Labs at the UW's Institute for Protein Design (IPD). The IPD Core Labs are now 8 subgroups and >30 FTEs, and both support and advance the scientific endeavors of the IPD in a myriad of impactful ways, including tech transfer of lead candidates to the clinic.
