Laura Ricles

Laura Ricles, PhD, is the Director of the Division of Cell Therapies 2 in the Office of Cellular Therapy and Human Tissue (OCTHT) within the Office of Therapeutic Products (OTP) at the U.S. FDA/CBER. Her division is responsible for the review of chemistry, manufacturing, and controls information for tissue engineered products, cell therapy products, and devices submitted in investigational and marketing regulatory applications. Her previous experience includes Chief of the Tissue Engineering Branch and Cell Therapies Team Lead in the Office of Tissues and Advanced Therapies (now OTP). She also served as a lead product reviewer for the review of regulatory submissions for cell therapies, tissue engineered products, and devices. She earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from Lehigh University.
