Dr. Bateman is currently Scientific Associate Vice President and the Scientific Lead for Bioanalysis in the Department of Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics and Drug Metabolism at Merck & Co. where he has worked for 23 years. His duties include driving scientific strategies and cross-functional objectives to impact the pipeline independent of modality and stage. He is responsible for the evaluation and implementation of new analytical capabilities across PPDM and MRL to drive current and future portfolio needs. He usually works out of the West Point, PA facility, but for the past 6 months has been enjoying time alone in his basement.
