Kenneth Yancey

Kenneth Gene Yancey, PhD, is a biopharmaceutical executive with more than a decade of leadership across CMC, process development, GMP manufacturing, and advanced therapy operations. He has repeatedly built and scaled high‑performing technical organizations, including assisting with the spinout of companies such as Franklin Biolabs, Passage Bio, and iECURE. He currently serves as Senior Vice President of CMC at Franklin Biolabs, where he oversees process development, tech transfer, manufacturing, analytics, and end‑to‑end CMC strategy. Previously, Dr. Yancey previously spent six years as Executive Director of Process Development and Manufacturing at UPenn’s Gene Therapy Program, where he led manufacturing of over 1000 preclinical batches per year, led CMC IND preparation for multiple successful INDs, and managed four CDMOs supporting clinical supply for 14 programs. His work has consistently centered on cross‑functional alignment, process development, regulatory strategy, capacity planning, and operational excellence across manufacturing, quality, and supply chain.
