Ken Kent

Ken is the Senior Vice President of Manufacturing Operations at Gilead Sciences. He is responsible for Gilead’s clinical and commercial drug-substance and drug-product supply. Gilead’s internal manufacturing sites are located in Edmonton, Canada (small molecule drug substance manufacturing), Foster City, CA (small molecule drug substance and oral drug product manufacturing), La Verne, CA (sterile drug product manufacturing, packaging and labeling), Oceanside, CA (biologics drug substance manufacturing) and Cork, Ireland (oral drug product manufacturing and packaging and labeling). Ken has contributed to the development and commercialization of more than 25 approved products while growing his career from developing new synthetic routes as a process chemist to increasing leadership responsibilities in cross-functional roles. He has built and led teams with a reputation for innovation, quality and safety while also fostering inclusion and career development.
