Justin De La Cruz

Justin De La Cruz is a Senior Scientist in Scientific Affairs at Cellares, where he leverages his expertise in cell and gene therapy analytics to advance automated quality control (QC) release testing for cell therapy manufacturing. His work focuses on bridging scientific innovation with commercial strategy to deliver scalable solutions to cell therapy developers. Prior to joining Cellares in 2024, Justin served as a Scientific Solutions Consultant at Benchling, where he provided solution consulting and implementation support to digitalize data management for scientists. His career in analytics includes leadership roles at Sangamo Therapeutics, Adverum Biotechnologies, BioMarin, and Ultragenyx, where he specialized in analytical method development and QC testing for multiple AAV-mediated gene therapy programs. Justin earned his PhD in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics from University of California, Los Angeles and received post-doctoral training in Infectious Diseases from Stanford University.
