Jorge Antonio Canales Pacheco

Pharmaceutical Scientist and Regulatory expert with over 15 years of experience in pharmaceutical regulation, drug quality, medical devices, and high-complexity healthcare logistics. Expert in implementing international standards (WHO, ICH) and providing strategic leadership for both public and private sector entities. Currently serving as the Director of the National Agency of Medicines (ANAMED) at the Institute of Public Health (ISP) of Chile, overseeing the national lifecycle surveillance of pharmaceuticals, advance therapeutics and cosmetics. Notable prior experience includes managing pharmaceutical operations as Healthcare Site Manager at Kuehne+Nagel and over seven years at Johnson & Johnson, where I led Medical Device quality projects across Latin America. Backed by a strong academic foundation with a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
