John Tran

John obtained his B.Sc. and Ph.D. in Chemistry at Dalhousie University in Canada where he focused on building separation devices for mass spectrometry. Afterwards, he conducted research at the University of Illinois and Northwestern University on expanding identification coverage using Top Down Proteomics. Following a brief period of consulting work in Canada, he joined Genentech in 2013 supporting both small and large molecule therapeutic projects using mass spectrometry. Currently, his team primarily focuses on large molecule therapeutics, supporting the Research portfolio through screening and bioanalysis, leveraging cutting edge bioanalytical chemistry technologies.
