Ilya Shestopalov

Ilya Shestopalov, PhD leads Analytical Development function at Tessera Therapeutics, focusing on assays for mRNA, synthetic guide RNA, and LNPs. Previously, Ilya spent 10 years at bluebird bio, contributing to development of Lyfgenia, Zynteglo, Skysona, and Abecma cell and gene therapy products, particularly in the areas of potency assays. Prior to bluebird bio, Ilya received a BS in biological chemistry from University of Chicago, PhD in Chemical Biology from Stanford University, and did a postdoctoral fellowship in stem cell biology at Harvard University.
