Gabriella Gellen

Dr. Gabriella Gellen is a Proteomics and Mass Spectrometry Scientist at Affinisep, where she develops new high throughput SPE technologies for proteomics sample preparation. She studied pharmacy (MSc) at the University of Debrecen, Hungary, and pursued her doctoral research in the Department of Biophysics and Cell Biology, Faculty of Medicine, focusing on novel cross-linking mass spectrometry (XL-MS) approaches to study ABC transporters involved in cancer resistance. During this period, she also completed an Erasmus+ internship at Cancer Research UK, Cambridge Institute, gaining further expertise in XL-MS technologies. Following her PhD, she joined the MTA-ELTE Lendület Ion Mobility Mass Spectrometry Research Group at Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, as a research fellow, where she contributed to multiple projects using structural proteomics. She later worked as a postdoctoral researcher on a collaborative project between the University of Cergy and Institut Pasteur in Paris, developing chemical mutagenesis-based XL-MS methods for the analysis of histone methylation.
