Elizabeth Hecht

Elizabeth Hecht is a Senior Scientist in the Department of Microchemistry, Proteomics, and Lipidomics at Genentech, Inc. She obtained a M.S. in Food Chemistry (2013) and a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry (2017) at North Carolina State University, where she focused on developing mass spectrometry methods applied to toxins, glycans and proteins. Prior to her current role, she spent a year at Thermo Fisher as an applications scientist for intact protein and proteomics characterization. Her current work is at the interface of structural biology and native mass spectrometry. Her interests include prototype instrument applications, protein-binding studies, and therapeutic characterization. She has two provisional patents and 15 publications (7 first).
