Diane McCarthy

Dr. McCarthy is Vice President of USP’s Global Biologics Department, where she leads development and maintenance of standards and tools to support quality of medicines and oversees the USP biologics laboratories in the US and India. Her team supports standards and tools across a diverse range of therapies, including cell and gene therapy, monoclonal antibodies, peptides, vaccines, and other protein therapeutics. Dr. McCarthy earned her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin.
