Cynthia Ziwawo

Dr. Cynthia Ziwawo is a recent M.D. graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine, and will be completing her residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Georgetown University. Prior to her medical school training, she earned a B.S. in Health Science from Spelman College in 2019. After her time at Spelman, she was selected as a Postbac I.R.T.A fellow at the NIH Vaccine Research Fellowship in the lab of Dr. Barney Graham. In this role, she performed coronavirus immunogenicity experiments under the mentorship of Dr. Kizzmekia Corbett from Aug 2019-June 2020. She had the opportunity to contribute to the Phase I clinical trial data for the development of Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine mRNA-1273, amongst other efforts related to pandemic preparedness.
