Claire Bankier

Claire has a background in biological sciences and project management, with experience across academic, healthcare, and industry settings. She completed her PhD in Biotechnology at Imperial College London in 2016, where her research focused on developing virus–bacteria interaction networks. Following this, she held a postdoctoral position at UCL and Great Ormond Street Hospital, working on the development of antiviral materials in collaboration with academic and clinical partners. Claire has since held project management roles in both the public and private sectors, including positions at the National Physical Laboratory, Merck, GSK, and IQVIA. Her work has involved coordinating multidisciplinary teams, delivering clinical trials and research programmes, and overseeing regulatory and technical requirements. She holds an APM Project Management Qualification and has contributed to several academic publications, conferences, and workshops throughout her career.
