Chris Bell

Christopher Bell is Vice President and Head of Quality at Prime Medicine, where he leads quality strategy and operations for a novel prime editing platform spanning ex vivo and in vivo delivery modalities. His work at Prime includes development of the process control strategy for PM359, Prime's lead clinical program. He joined Prime as the company's first Quality hire and built the quality organization from inception, covering GLP, GMP, and GCP operations through IND submission and into clinical development. Prior to Prime Medicine, Bell served as Vice President of Quality Assurance at Rocket Pharmaceuticals, where he provided quality leadership for the commissioning and qualification of a new viral vector drug substance manufacturing facility. Earlier in his career, he held quality leadership positions at Emergent BioSolutions, Pfizer, and Pharmacia, accumulating thirty years of experience across process and method validation, aseptic manufacturing, vaccines, and advanced therapies. Bell holds a B.Sc. in Bacteriology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, has held Six Sigma Black Belt and ASQ Certified Quality Engineer credentials, and is a former United States Marine.
