Caterina Giorno

Dr. Caterina Giorno joined Boehringer Ingelheim in 2006 as a PhD student in collaboration with the University Konstanz, publishing her doctoral thesis “Glycoengineering of monoclonal antibodies”. In 2009 she started as a PostDoc and subsequently as a Scientist in Analytical Science, taking over the role to develop, characterize, qualify, validate and transfer cell-based bioassays and binding ELISAs. Since 2015, Caterina was promoted to head of laboratory within the Potency Assay Skill Center in Analytical Development Biologicals, also taking over the role as analytical project team member, heading responsibilities for potency assays within Biopharmaceutical Development and has experience in analytical development and quality control of new biological entities.
