Bifan Chen

Dr. Bifan Chen obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison under the guidance of Professor Ying Ge in 2019. During his graduate study, he developed novel separation, enrichment, and sample preparation strategies to advance top-down proteomics, and later focused on characterizing biotherapeutics such as monoclonal antibodies and antibody-drug conjugates. Dr. Chen is currently a principal scientist in the synthetic molecule analytical chemistry group at Genentech, serving as a CMC analytical lead on multiple clinical projects and spearheading analytical efforts on new modalities including polymers, degraders, conjugates, and oligonucleotides.
