Atsushi Nishikawa

Mr. Atsushi Nishikawa is a principal reviewer in the Office of Cellular and Tissue-based Products, PMDA. He received a master's degree in biochemistry from the University of Tokyo and joined Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA) about 10 years ago. He first worked in the Office of New Drug II for 1 year and 3 months, being involved in the review of chemical drugs. After that, He has worked for 9 years in the Office of Cellular and Tissue-based Products, being involved in the review of antibody drugs, biosimilar products, stem cell products, in vivo and ex vivo gene therapy products and so on. Currently, He is responsible for the review of cell and gene therapy products, particularly involved in quality review.
