Athea Vichas

Dr. Athea Vichas is a Senior Principal Scientist in Gene Editing Analytical Development at Bristol Myers Squibb, based in Seattle, Washington. She leads efforts focused on developing advanced sequencing‑based analytical strategies to assess genomic integrity in gene‑edited cell therapies, including CAR T products. Prior to joining Bristol Myers Squibb, Dr. Vichas was a postdoctoral fellow at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, where her research applied functional genomics and CRISPR‑based screening approaches to identify novel therapeutic targets in lung cancer. She holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics from Weill Cornell Medical College and a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Oregon.
