Annicka Evans

Dr. Evans received her Ph.D from Rice University studying adeno-associated virus (AAV) capsid engineering for targeted gene therapy, where she was awarded an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship and the Excellence in Research distinction by the American Society for Gene and Cell Therapy for her work. She now works as a Scientist 2 at Biogen (Cambridge, MA) working in the analytical development department – her current focus is to develop and optimize assays to characterize the potency of AAV-based gene therapies. She also specializes in characterizing adenovirus infectivity used in the AAV production process.
