Amr Ali began his career at Biogen in 2010, where he focused on the application of vibrational spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and chromatography for raw material characterization. During his time at Biogen, Amr transitioned to the Cell Culture Development department, where he specialized in upstream bioprocess development. Amr then returned to the Analytical Development department at Biogen, this time joining the mass spectrometry group. In this role, he focused on developing protein characterization techniques and leading the analytical strategy for multiple early phase programs.
In 2020, Amr joined the Analytical Development Department at AbbVie to lead the Mass Spectrometry and Biophysical Characterization Group. Amr holds a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Northeastern University, a Masters in Bioinformatics from Boston University, and a Bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering, also from Boston University.
